Article title are extremely important to create a traffic-pulling article. Before anyone decide to read any articles, they’ll judge the article with the title. This is a habit almost every Internet users have trained themselves.

When you search something on Google or Yahoo, do you choose which webpage to click on instead of trying everyone? There are simply too many webpages and information on the Internet. Choosing and judging which one to go to is a habit of most Internet users.

The same goes with articles. Before anyone click on the link to read your whole articles or decide to scroll down and read more about your article, they’ll JUDGE by looking at the title!

You could go to EzineArticles.com and click on one of its sub-category. You’ll realize that you land on a page with 30 article titles with a short summary. This is how other article directories, blogs, forums and other websites work as well.

No matter how good your content and call to action box is, no one will go to your blog if you don’t have a compelling title.

Phew… Is it interesting? Let’s talk about the “How To”:

Every good article title should looks like “Hey! I got what you are looking for over here!”

Your article title should not be something that cheat, convince or hypnotize people to read your articles. It’s because when they found out that’s not the article they are looking for, they’ll just stop read and leave. They won’t click on the link to your blog.

You don’t need to cheat or convince them to read! All you need to do is just tell them what they are trying to search is just right here! There are basically 3 mini-steps to do that:

mini step 1: Write down the information or knowledge that they are interested in. You’ve written the list of what they are interested in Step 1. If you haven’t do so, you can go back and have a look how to do that. An example for this is “ways to make money with blogs”.

mini step 2: Add the magic words. Add “How”, “Secrets” or “Tips” in the article. For example: “Secrets To Make Money With Blogs”.

mini step 3: Rewrite it. Write it again with other compelling words such as “10 Money-Making Secrets Successful Bloggers Are Hiding From You.”

You could learn more tips about creating article title from copywriting books. Copywriters are really good at that. Creating compelling title is not hard. Start creating a list of article title before you move to the next part.

Remember, the list of the information and knowledge that your target visitors are interested in. Use each of them to write 3 articles. For example:

I chose “making money from blogs”. I create 3 different article titles with the 3 magic words:

1.10 Money-Making Secrets Successful Bloggers Are Hiding Away From You.
2.How Anyone Can Make Money Blogging Like Successful Bloggers?
3.7 Tips That Could Turn Your Blog Into A Passive Income Stream.
