This is another post about ‘Submitting Articles’ to increase blog traffic. Yesterday, you’ve just read about article directories are not the only place to submit your articles and learned how to submit articles to blog too.

In this post, you’re going to learn how to use forum as one of your Article Marketing Tool! I love forums as part of my article marketing tools because it is fun! It is fun to read all kinds of jokes, stories and experiences from forums. It is informal and relax to be in a forum.

Not to mention one of the benefits of posting your articles at forum is you don’t need administer to approve. This process takes days. Once you are ready to post your new topic, you just post. It doesn’t need to be in a specific format. It can be 3 lines! However, admin have the authority to take it down if they found that you broke their rules.

Another reason for loving forums is they allow me to understand the market better. Remember the ‘Understanding’ step in article marketing? Since most of us don’t have the money and time to research for accurate information about our target visitors, most of us are just assuming or guessing. Well, forums are good places to start understanding them. You’ll get more accurate information and know exactly what they want to know.

Most marketers and even guru believed that they can get some traffic by just replying to people’s question or topic. I’m going to say that it’s not very possible!

How do I know that?

It’s because I’ve tried that and I get only 1-5 visitors for months by replying to 10 questions everyday. So, stop believing those ‘Gurus’ who don’t even go to forums.

Starting a topic gives you much more traffic. When I start a topic in a popular forum with an article, I could easily get 200 - 700 people reading my articles. This is a lot compare to what I get from article directories (20 – 100).

So, what are you waiting for? Start new topics on Forums!

This is how you can start!

Go to Big-Boards.com to see is there are forums that are related to your topic. Make sure they allow you to put a link in your signature or article. If they don’t allow it, there’s no point in posting there.

If you can’t find any huge forums that are related to your topic, don’t worry! Use BoardTracker.com to find other forums. They have more than 37,000 forums in their database.

First prepare one sentence as your call to action box. In this call to action box, you need to have a link to your blog and a compelling reason for people to click on it.

Next is to go through the whole article marketing steps. Use the information in Step 1 and create some good title for your forum posts. Next is to write them into informal posts and post them.

Here’re some Contents that works very well in forums:

1. Original
The article or forum posts you submitted got to be original. Members in forums don’t like to read something that is repeated in the forum. Writing original posts will build your name in the forum as someone unique and good at your topic.

2. Fresh
People who go to forums love fresh contents. It could be something no one has mentioned or brought out from news.

3. Experience
People in forums don’t like long winded theories and concepts. They want to listen to other people’s experiences. They want to listen to other people’s stories. If you are writing about blogging, talk about some interesting blogging experience instead of another blogging theory.

4. Interesting
Make sure your posts is interesting too. Some people love to hang out in forums because they are boring and trying to find something which is interesting. Interesting posts will draw curiosity and the interest of many people.

5. Experiments
I realize some of the posts that have great attractions are about experiments. I used to go to an Internet marketing forum very often. During those days, B.U.M. Marketing is hot and new. One of the webmasters said that he is going to try it and announce his results in the forum. It attracts many views, replies and questions!

Here’s another bonus for you. If you know me well, you’ll get to know that I love giving bonuses.

Try to turn your topic into a hot topic. If your posts is hot, you’ll get 2000 – 7000 views. More people will get to read your posts and you’ll get more blog traffic. I’ve never get to reach that amount of views YET. However, I get close to 1000 views for many times in forums before.

Have fun! Tomorrow, you’ll receive more tips to get blog traffic with article marketing!
