increase blog traffic

Yesterday you probably read about 3 potential traffic from blog commenting. Today, you are going to learn how to do that. I’ve prepare 12 different blog commenting strategies for you. These are originally from me and hope you like it!

1. Be The First

The majority blog readers will notice the first comment on the blog. If you are the second one, your comment might not be read or noticed. If you are planning to comment on popular blogs, grab your position to be the first.

2. Stand Out From The Crowd

The worst thing that could happen on blog commenting is to give a normal comment that doesn’t stand out. It’s hard to get people to notice your comment out of all the ‘normal comments’ that is similar to yours. If most of the comments are short, make it long. If most are long, make it short!

3. Avoid Short & Simple

I know you need to keep many things short and simple. But comment is very different. Making it complicated and long will look interesting and draw people’s curiosity. Don’t give simple comments like “Thank you”, “Good job” or “I agree”. Go deeper and make it complicated.

4. Repeat Some Points

When you comment on the blog, repeat some off the important points the blogger mentioned in his posts. Bloggers love this comments because they know that you have really spent time to read. Quoting what they say make them feel is useful to you. Bloggers love to contribute and are happy to know that you get what they shared with you.

5. Agree

Agree what they have mentioned in the posts. Don’t just comment “I agree”. That’s shallow and it looks like spamming. Try something such as “I agree to (your point). The theory behind this is (some complicated and interesting theories). I’m glad that you point this out. Great work!”

6. Contrast

Create conflict by disagreeing to what they have post. If you draw out an interesting fight that people love to read, you’ll get traffic. I don’t usually use this because it hurts the relationship between you and the blogger and you might look like a newbie who is trying to challenge someone with high authority here. Some might simply ignore you.

7. Provide Values

Post something useful and valuable on your comments. This comment might help the blogger or readers to solve some problems. If it helps, they will usually go to your blog by clicking that link.

8. Add Some Extra Points

The blogger himself (or herself) might missed out some points in his post. You can add on to it and the blogger will appreciate you. The reader who read your comment will think that you are an expert and would like to go to your website and see what you have.

9. Examples

Do you have some examples to support the blogger’s point? If the blogger is blogging about a weight loss tip and you add your own examples of the weeight loss tips, the readers and bloggers will think that you are an expert and go to your blog.

10. Elaborate

Elaborate their points. You can give further explanation that helps the blogger to prove his point and the reader to understand. You demonstrated your authority in that topic again!

11. Share Your Experiences

The blogger might be sharing tips which are pure theory and information. You can share some of your experience with their points and make it interesting. That attracts people to read.

12. Share Success

Especially successful experiences, people love to read about it. People desire to read some successful cases before start using the information or knowledge that is in the post.

13. Interesting And Funny

Comment in a funny and interesting way. People already have many boring things to read in their work, business or news. Make your comment interesting and they’ll enjoy reading it.

14. Attractive Opening

Always start with a good opening for your comments. If the first sentence of your comment s**ks, people are not going to read the rest. You can draw people’s curiosity on the first sentence by something they are interested to know.

15. Comment on B-List Blogs

Many people who use blog commenting strategy to increase blog traffic will usually rush for popular blogs. I would say that it is not wise to do so (I didn’t say it is stupid). It is hard to be the first to comment and get it stand out in a popular blog. Popular blog writers have many people contacting them everyday which possibly make you ignored. Aim for blogs which have the potential to grow and not so popular ones!

This are all the blog commenting strategies I’ve learn over the years and wish everyone have fun learning how to get blog traffic from comments.
