I want to apologize for not keeping my promise to post an article about link building few days ago. And that’s why I’m going to share with you My Top 5 Link Building Strategies.

Link building is the most important Blog SEO Strategies. It is much important than the 11 Secrets To Optimize Your Blog For SEO because it is about getting votes from other websites. When it comes to link building, it is important to have:

1.One Way Links
2.Keyword Links
3.Links Without Keywords
4.Links From Different Domain Name
5.Consistently Built Links (don’t build 1000 links overnight)

1. One way links

These links are links that point to your blog without you pointing back. This kind of links are different from 2 way links because Google weight one-way link higher. Imagine “links” are “votes” to Google to determine which site is good.

2 way links are something like “I vote for you and you vote for me. Let’s cheat Google so both of us will win the competition!” Exchanging links with other blogger used to be a technique widely used by Internet marketers to manipulate search results. Google found out and readjust the system. 2 way links still help but it is no longer effective anymore.

2. Keyword Links

“Keyword Links” are links that link to your blog with your keywords. For example: If your keyword is “Acne Treatment”, Acne Treatment is a keyword link. This kind of link is better than a “Click here” link because it tells Google what this site is good at. It’s like telling Google “Want to know more about acne treatment, click this link!”

3. Link Without Keywords

Links Without Keywords is important because it appears natural to Google. If all your links are your keywords, what do you think Google will think about your blog? It definitely looks very fake and artificial. You can have 60%-70% of your links with your primary keywords (your main target) and 20%-25% your secondary keywords and others with your name or “click here” links.

4. Links From Different Domain Name

It is very important to build links from different domain name because it avoids people cheating on the votes. If there’s no such system in place, all I need to do to build thousands of backlinks is by inserting thousands of links on my new domain name. Links from many different domain names is also something like “many votes from many different people” instead of “many votes from the same person”.

5. Consistently Built Links

Build 10-20 links everyday consistently. It is definitely important to get hundreds and thousands of links for your blog but you can’t build thousands overnight. If your blog’s backlinks grow 1000 overnight, Google definitely knows that something is done to your blog to manipulate search results.

Grow your backlinks slowly and naturally everyday. If your links grow by 10-20 per day, Google will think “This blog is recommended by more and more people everyday. It is definitely a good blog.”

These 5 link building strategies are the most important ones. There are More link building strategies but I’m going to stop on these 5 because these are the basics that is enough for you to rank for many low competition keywords.
