These are the plugins I use for all my blogs for Blog SEO:

1. All-In-One SEO Pack

The Title Tags of each individual post are quite SEO unfriendly. With this plugin, it turns the title tag of each post into “Post Title | Blog Title”. This is important because if you want to rank for “how to lose weight with coffee”, make sure the title tags of that posts start with “how to lose weight with coffee” and not your blog title.

It is very important to start your title tags with the keywords you want to rank for and not your blog title! You can download the plugin right away here! Just upload it and activate it. There are no configuring work needed!

2. Dagon Design Sitemap Generator

This plugin is awesome because it will automatically generate a sitemap which list down all your posts! It is important to have a sitemap because Google bots will only crawl and finite number of webpages. If all your post are hard to reach (means you need to click lots of links to reach), Google might not index your page and you’ll get less SEO benefits.

It’s very easy to use. All you need to do is download the plugin here and activate it. Next, write a new page (remember that this is a page and not post). Just paste the following code and publish it :

It’s done and you’ll see how this plugin automatically generate a sitemap page.

3. MaxBlogPress Ping Optimizer

I used to mention this before. If you want to get search engine to notice your new blog posts and get your posts indexed, it is important to have the ‘Ping’ function in your wordpress blog (it’s there by default). However, everytime you publish a new post or edit and save a post, your blog will automatically ping. If you are editing lots of posts within an hour, your blog might get banned by ping. When you blog is banned from ping, you’ll lose a lot of SEO benefits (which happens to one of my blog).

This plugin can limit your numbers of ping in a certain time period. You can set it to maximum a ping per day or every 12 hours. Download it here and activate it. Once you activated it, go to “setting” and “MBP Ping Optimizer”. Enter you name and email to activate the plugin (you need to subscribe to their email list). Once it is done, do a simple setting and you’re done!
