Most people think that PageRank is the most important thing to rank for keywords and get lots of traffic. The fact is PageRank is not important in ranking for keywords! There are many internet marketers are showing off their PageRank.
PageRank doesn’t prove anything about how much traffic a blog have or how good is the ranking. It only proves people who are showing off their PR are an idiots.
I’m not saying that because this blog has a low PR. I have many blogs which have high PR. To get a high PR, all you need to do is build lots of links! Lots of link doesn’t mean lots of traffic. Backlink counting is very important if you are going to move your Blog SEO into an advance stage.
Knowing the backlinks of your blog important but it is not as important as knowing the backlinks of your competitors. If I plan to rank for some keywords, I will usually analyze my competitors’ PR and backlinks first. Then, I’ll see who many backlinks I need to build to outrank it.
Here’s a free tool I use: Link Checker
This tool will not just show you the number of backlinks of a webpage, it will show you the PR of the backlinks as well. It is very useful and I hope you use it for good.
