This month, I’ve been sharing lots of Blog SEO strategies and tips. I’ve just counted all of them and it’s around 30. If you have been following and practicing the tips, I’m sure you’ll get lots of traffic from the search engine after 1 or 2 months.

Now, here’s a question for you:

“Should you rely on Blog SEO to increase blog traffic?”

I’m sure you already have the answer. Relying or depending on Blog SEO is a “no no” if you are establishing an Popular Blog which hundreds of thousand of visitors per month. If your blog is a Niche Blog which relies on the combination of Blog SEO and Adsense, it will be fine to just rely on Blog SEO. But make sure you have a few of these niche blogs to diversify your blog.

You can never tell when Google will penalize your blog. Many internet marketers have lose their search engine traffic without knowing what’s going on. You can’t blame Google for that because they design the whole algorithm for their users and not for internet marketers. If you want to get traffic, they’ll show you the way to their Adwords.

So, what you should do if you want to get free traffic?

1. This Is More Powerful Than Blog SEO

“What are the scariest way of spreading a news?”

There are 2 of them. One of them is Media and the other one will be Gossip. Recently, I just read a success of a blogger called Mitch. He is getting more than 3 thousand hits per day after blogging 4 months. His success on traffic is through writing an original content that is so good that a very popular website publish his article and link to his blog. He got thousands of visitors that day and most of them stay and come back often.

So, the first step is to ask yourself “Do you have some good content that is original and worth some of those media talk about it?” These contents could be interesting, funny, ground breaking or jaw dropping. As long as it is worth reporting, write it and approach some local media company, popular websites or use social bookmarking such as Digg. You’ll get a lot of traffic from them.

2. WOMM

WOMM (Word Of Mouth Marketing) is one of the oldest yet most powerful way of promoting something. The key to word of mouth marketing is “Value”.

If you have something valuable people can get from your blog, people tell their friends (or email): “Hey! I just found an incredible blogs which have all the information about ……….. and great tips. The blog is so cool and I love it. You can find really cool stuff about ………….. there.”

If you are interested in creating powerful word of mouth effect, always remember to start with “Value”. Do you have something really good?

Do you have something people are dying to know?

Do you have something people are paying hundreds to learn and you are giving it for free?

3. Free

People especially Asian love to share things especially things with high value. My friend use to joke with me:

Friend: If you sell digital products in Asia, you might fail!

Me: Why?

Friend: It’s because Asian love to share things. Do you realize I love to share books and CDs with you? That’s the habit or culture of an Asian. If I buy an ebook, I’ll share it with all my friends. All my friends will either share the cost with me or just borrow from me.

That’s very true. Many people around the world love to share things with others. That includes me because what I’m doing now is sharing Blog Traffic information with you. You can use this tip by creating a free ebook that has lots of value and send it to your friends or subscribers. See how far it can go.

Video will be fine too but make sure you are capable of producing high quality videos instead of just using a webcam or do a power point presentation. I know some people who are real good with webcam. If you are one of them, go ahead!

4. Why Get Traffic Yourself If Others Are Willing To Give You?

Yup! That’s right. Many people are willing to share with you their traffic. There’re some requirements but they love to do that simply because they know you. You can get other bloggers or website owners to share traffic with you with many kinds of reasons such as joint venture, sharing some good contents from your blog, exchanging traffic with you, etc.

But they will do it only when they know you well enough. Get to know more bloggers which are blogging similar topic as you. Give good quality comments on their blog and chat with them. You’ll be surprised that they’ll link to you when you have something good on your blog.

5. The 2.0 Ways

Web 2.0 is a “not so new but still quite young” kind of traffic strategy. Web 2.0 in simple are websites that allow the public to create content for them. It includes blog, forum, YouTube, Squidoo, Hubpages, Social Bookmarking, Social Networking, etc. Use them wisely to get blog traffic.

Don’t rely on Blog SEO. Out of all these traffic strategies, my favorite is WOMM and Networking With Bloggers. Use these tips to get more blog traffic and have fun with them!
