Yesterday, I was writing a new lists of blog traffic methods. Suddenly, a sentence comes out of nowhere. I typed it out and I find that this is really important when it comes to generating traffic for blogs:

“Stop learning more blog traffic strategies and start taking action to get real traffic!”

This might sound funny or useless to you. But if I’ve understand and use this sentence 2 years ago, I’m already a very successful blogger! Let’s learn something interesting from this post by talking about the past.

When I first started internet marketing, I was taught an awesome traffic strategy- Article marketing. It is now my favourite. Back then, I think it’s too much work! So, I started going around the internet to find some easy and fast shortcut to get more traffic.

Did I found something?

Yes. I found search engine optimization, forum, blog commenting, social networking, social bookmarking, etc. I start to spend all my time and throw aside that pity little ‘article marketing’. After learning those ’shortcuts’, I start testing them.

After a year, I got less than 10 visitors per day. Did all those traffic strategies work?

Of course it does! However, it’s not as easy and fast as what those internet gurus told me. I got to admit those gurus are really good at marketing and promote their strategies!

All traffic strategies all not easy to master. It takes time and effort to build. If you are finding a shortcut or a magic pill that will solve your traffic problem once and for all, I’m going to say that there isn’t such thing. If you are still trying to find that magic pill, I believe you’ll come back to my blog after a year and give a comment “Alex! That’s very true. I didn’t believe it when you say that. Now I start to believe after wasting time and money in seminars and books.”

Hey! I spent thousands in seminars and books too. But I’ll not going to hold your hand I say “Poor thing, it’s ok.”

In this blog, I’m not going to hype up anything. All posts I wrote are according to my real experience.

If you are in the same situation I used to be, I would like you to stop that. It is really time wasting and you’ll end up disappointed.
