Yesterday, Chandra (a Blog Traffic Geek commenter) asked me a question “So, What should i do to get more traffic with fast, if not with black hat?”

I decide to write a post about it not just because I want to answer the question of my readers. In fact, I’ve asked this question many many many times and to myself and experimented different traffic strategies out of the 120 Ways To Get Traffic To Your Blog.

The answer to this question depends on the nature of your blog. If your blog is a very niche blog, you got no choice but to use blog SEO. Other traffic strategies will give you traffic too. But those strategies will waste most of your effort and it won’t convert effectively.

But when it comes to authority blogs, you have lots of traffic options. The super fast way to increase blog traffic is:

1. Social Bookmarking (Results Within 24 Hours)

Write a good blog posts that you think it’s funny, interesting and valuable that people find it worth sharing. Make friends with some social bookmarker and bookmark each other.

If you are using this method, make sure your posts is original and good. And remember don’t overuse it because social bookmarking sites are banning websites that are exploiting their service nowadays.

You might get 100 or more visitors a day if you get 5 people to Stumble Upon your posts. Other than Stumble Upon, Digg, Reddit, Delicious, Zoom are quite popular too.

2. Hit The News (Results Within 3 Days Or More)

If you wrote something that hit the news or you post about a news that you are the first one to know, get the post bookmarked and you’ll see the huge Buzz effect. Many people will share this by posting on their blog and linking back to you. More social bookmarker will bookmark your posts.

When people link to your post and many people bookmark the post, you’re post will quickly appear in the search engines and more people will come to your blog to read that post. This is seriously huge! But it’s not easy.

3. Advertise (Results Within Few Hours)

If you want to get fast traffic for your blog, you either need really good content or money. What I’m going to share here is participating in advertising programs.

You can go for Google Adwords. This is the first option I will definitely go for if I want to start advertising. It allows me to keep my budget low, control my cost and pay only when I get traffic. Other good options will be sponsored reviews. Get popular bloggers to write a review about your blog and their readers will go to you.

4. Forum Marketing (Results Within Few Hours)

Register popular forums that allow you to include a link at your signature. Start a new topic or a new thread in a forum with a very interesting title. Write valuable and interesting forum posts and include your signature with a link to your blog.

When people come to read your topic, they’ll click on the link to your blog if there’s something they want from you.

This is fast because starting a new topic doesn’t need approval by admin and people can start reading it once it is up. Make sure the topic you are posting in the forum are about stories, real life experience and something interesting.

5. Article Marketing (Results Within A Week)

Write articles about your topic and submit to 5 popular article directories. I find that most of the traffic comes from EzineArticles. You can read more about Article Marketing Strategies in the Article Marketing Category.

6. Blog Commenting (Results Within Hours)

Go to Technorati.com or BlogCatalog.com to seek for blogs with similar blog topic. Read their post and give them valuable comments that could help or contribute to them. When bloggers are given something, they will want to give you something in return. They might come to your blog and give you a comment too. If they fall in love with your blog, they might even introduce their readers to your blog.

Remember to give valuable comments with this tip. Bloggers hate commentors who comment just for the sake of building links or getting traffic.

7. Tell Your Friends Or Use Your Existing Contact

Share your blog with your friends. You’ll get honest feedback from your friends as a bonus. It is possible to get some traffic from friends because your passion on your blog topic will attract same people.

When you share with them and they love your blog, they’ll share with their friends too.

If you don’t have friends who are interested in your blog topic, use your existing contacts. It could be your business contacts, existing customers or potential customers that you think your blog will give them value.

All 7 tips can give you fast traffic, however it doesn’t last. Make sure you build long term traffic sources such as:

1.Great Contents
2.Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
3.Word Of Mouth
4.Building Relationships With Other Bloggers

Most of the popular blogs gain their successes from long term traffic sources.
