Link Building is very important if you want to rank high for keywords in the search engines. If you’ve read “How Google Rank Blogs and Sites” on my blog, Links are like “votes” to Google. The more votes you get from other websites, the higher Google will rank. Because your blog get lots of votes and Google think that your content have high quality and will help the users.
I used to publish a post about Link Building. But I’m going to go more in-dept for a better understanding about link building and how it works with Blog SEO.

It’s another link building resource for you. There are 294 Blog Directories in this list now. Some are free and some are not, some of them have high requirements and some of them are “nofollow”. This list might not be as good as the list to 1000 web directories but you can add it to your “SEO To-Do List” and it helps a lot.
If you are submitting your blog to 10 web directories everyday, submit your blog to 3 blog directories. You’ll be finishing the list after 3 months. Another note for you is, “nofollow” links help you in rankingand it makes your backlinks look more natural. So, don’t give up on them!

Good news! I just contacted the owner of the website who published the 1000 web directories. He allows me to share all 1000 directories with you.
Before going through the list of thousand web directories. Here’re 3 tips that could help you in your link building with web directories:
Tip 1: Use a piece of word document to write down the following:
1.Primary Keyword:
2.Secondary Keyword:
3.Blog url:
4.Blog Description:
5.Name:
6.Email:
When you submit your information to the web directories, simply copy-n-paste.
Tip 2: Overnight vs. Building Consistently Everyday
Build a few links slowly. I prefer it to be 10 links per day and that will take me 3 months. I don’t mind building it slowly because when you build all in one day there will be a sudden increase in backlinks. Your blog is likely to get penalized by Google and probably won’t rank for keywords within 6 months.

These links are links that point to your blog without you pointing back. This kind of links are different from 2 way links because Google weight one-way link higher. Imagine “links” are “votes” to Google to determine which site is good.
